Practical worksheet
White-label PR handoff template
Use this template when an agency brings in a delivery partner for PR, positioning or executive content. The brief keeps the client goal, responsibilities and materials in one place. Complete the working arrangements before handing over interviews or beginning editorial production.
Download CSV templateDefine the client outcome and the commissioned work
State what the client wants to achieve and which materials the partner will prepare. Connect every deliverable to a specific use, such as a founder launch, executive content series or media introduction. Record what a completed delivery contains so both teams can review the same result.
Set the communication route
Choose who receives client feedback, who resolves conflicting instructions and who approves the final material. Agree how interviews and meetings will be handled. Keep decisions in a shared working record so a new team member can understand the project without reconstructing several message threads.
Make the handoff usable
Provide the approved brief, current materials, relevant background and format requirements together. The reporting structure should show completed work, material under review, external activity and the next decision needed. Give each item a date and owner so the lead agency can use the report directly.

Review the completed record
- Can the partner begin without guessing the audience or assignment?
- Is one person responsible for consolidating feedback?
- Does the report make the next action clear to the lead agency?
