Speaking opportunities & preparation
A strong speaking proposal tells an organiser what their audience will learn. We help you turn your experience into a focused topic, choose relevant opportunities, and prepare the materials that make it easier to evaluate you as a contributor.

Guidance on documenting actual participation and reusing available recordings or materials with permission.
The process
How it
takes shape.
- 01
Shape the idea
We choose one useful question and develop a talk around what you can explain from experience. We define the audience, the promised learning, the examples you can share, and the level of detail appropriate to the event format.
- 02
Match the opportunity
We research event themes, application routes, deadlines, and available organiser information. We distinguish invited, competitively selected, sponsored, and paid participation so the nature of each opportunity is clear before you commit time or budget.
- 03
Prepare the contribution
We draft and refine the proposal, support agreed outreach, and help structure the content if accepted. Preparation can include an opening, argument flow, audience questions, and slide narrative. We then help record what actually took place.
What to expect
Organisers decide whom to programme and when. We clarify the participation format, commercial terms, and available documentation for each opportunity before you commit.
Useful to know
Your
questions.
01Can I start without a showreel?
Yes. We assess opportunities that fit your current experience and prepare a strong topic proposal. Some organisers may still require recordings or prior speaking references.
02Do you help write the talk?
Yes. We can help with the structure, narrative, examples, and supporting materials. The content must reflect expertise you can discuss confidently yourself.
03Are podcasts part of the service?
They can be. We assess whether the show’s subject, audience, format, and editorial approach make it a useful place for your contribution.
